An innovative design with very clean lines, Beneteau’s Sense 51 is a well-mannered cruising yacht. The design innovation truly shines with her interior layout. Valhowell is a one-owner vessel fully ready for ocean passages. The owners have taken meticulous care of this rare find variant of the Sense 50/51 class. All routine maintenance on the engine/generator and all running gear is performed on a defined schedule and under 600 hours on her 80HP Yanmar and 200 hours on her generator.

For those not familiar with the Sense 51, she embodies all the great elements of the Sense 50 with some significant improvements including an extended bow sprit/anchor roller, full height hydraulic lifting transom platform, permanently mounted seats at steering station, upgraded GROCO thru hull and underwater fittings, and reinforced hull deck joint at backstay.

Cockpit / Aft Deck: 
Extra wide cockpit with space normally found only in catamarans. Full cushions and enclosure with plastic mesh and removable eisenglass windows for weather protection. Main table electrical lowers and folds out to feed 8 with another table on the port side that can feed at least two more. Easy access from transom with hydraulic fold down transom. Dual fully instrumented steering stations for excellent visibility and boat handling.
Master Stateroom: 
Queen size master with custom latex mattress. Storage in hanging locker, multiple shelved lockers and drawers under bed. Television mounted on forward bulkhead.
Other Staterooms: 
Guest stateroom has queen size mattress, with ample hanging lockers, and drawers for all personal items. Direct access to day head for privacy. 3rd stateroom is configured with as an office custom cabinets using factory wood. Second stateroom is a custom full office with a washer/dryer installed. Lots of storage in custom lockers throughout this space.
Galley / Dinette: 
Galley and center island span the complete length of the salon space. Custom SS sink, filtered water spigot and faucet with pull out handle. Electric salt water hand sprayer for pre-washing and conserving fresh water. GN Espace propane oven and four burner cooktop. All storage has been converted to pull out drawers to maximize accessibility of all galley equipment.
Comfortable seating for 8 in salon including a fold down ((hideaway seat) in the center island. Island houses pop up television for viewing from Salon. Table has electric lift and can lower to a cocktail table or raise up for dining. Extra cushion provided to make the salon area into a bed/playpen.

Redesigned trash area to double amount of usable space. Removed icemaker and converted to three drawers. Added shelves to cabinets near sink. Added storage pocket to top drawer adjacent to oven. Frosted plastic storage doors under cabinets. Replaced oven cover with cutting board.

LED lights on Bimini wings. Dimmer on arch lights. Line bags for cockpit. Fasten on current cushion snaps.

Changed out OEM 120/240 up converter to Victron unit. Upgraded water heater to isothermal 11 gal (more efficient). Changed out LED display on main power panel for Simarine display. 680 watts solar with Victron MPPT controllers and Simarine power monitor and resettable breaker with other high power breakers at nav station. Victron Cerbo and GX 50 display with NMEA 2000 interface with shunt at batteries. Batteries upgraded to 840Ah Lifeline (2023) with Victron Lynx distributor, Class T fuse and remote shut off. Tank quantity indicators added to holding and water tanks.
Yanmar 4JH80 turbo & SD60 sail drive have 580 Hrs as of 2/1/24. Added J1939 to NMEA interface - engine data on MFDs.
Sailing Equipment
In Mast Furling Mainsail, 110 Genoa on Furler, Asymmetric Spinnaker with scoop and Banana bag for storage.

Dual helm stations
Bow bags for dock lines and Genoa sheets; extra spinnaker halyard; cleat covers for mast cleats; all non used halyards skied at masthead to limit weathering. Custom leech line system for mainsail run to cockpit for safer leech line adjustment; replaced mainsheet with 12 mm Dyneema core (easier run through blocks).
