This New Zealand flagged original owner/private use (not chartered) 3 stateroom/3 head owner’s version Saona 47 is exceptional in both condition and equipment inventory. She is a fully self-supporting, blue water proven ‘walk on, sail away’ yacht extensively upgraded to ensure greater comfort and safety at sea.
In addition to the factory-supplied mainsail and genoa, a code zero, gennaker and Atlantic spinnaker from Sail Design in Italy augment her sail inventory and sailing capabilities. Running rig and deck hardware were similarly enhanced to improve safety and sailing experience.

Cockpit / Aft Deck:
Spacious area to relax and entertain at a large 8 seat table. Lounge on the many cushioned areas with open plan design. The helm provides a view of every part of the boat yet being connected with others in the galley and aft deck. Additional sun deck with two sunbeds with custom sun shade.
Master Stateroom:
Bright and spacious with the ability to walk down the side of the bed. Latex mattress, blackout curtains, AC or fans make for a comfortable sleep. VIP guest stateroom is very spacious featuring athwartship walk-around queen bed with view out picture window. 3rd stateroom aft features same bed arrangement as master stateroom. Flexiteek in main traffic areas. The perimeter margin, scrubbed white color adds elegance to the boat and is easy to maintain. Custom separate enclosures provide protection in both summer and winter. Rocna 33 Ultra swivel and 100m of 12mm galvanized chain, the anchor bridle was upgraded Jan 2025 and custom mooring ball lines were purchased and spliced June 2024.
From the factory, the Saona 47 anchor can only be operated when the port engine is operating so Quik bypass switch and remote control were added.
Highfield Hypalon 360 Classic with 20HP Yamaha 4 stroke outboard has repositioned security bolts for enhanced suspension from davits, custom dinghy chaps and a Sunbrella cover, tender navigation lights, tender anchor, hydrofoil wings, dinghy ladder, spares inventory for 20HP Yamaha outboard and the davit lines upgraded to Dynema with low friction rings Sept 2024.

Upgraded significantly from the factory supplied running rig and deck hardware to improve safety and sailing experience. Main and Gennaker/Spinnaker halyard upgraded to Dyneema and Technora coated to alleviate chaffing at pressure points. All mainsail reefing (Reef 1,2 and 3) can be managed from Helm. Gennaker/Spinnaker halyard also managed from the Helm. Additional blocks and clutches installed to manage the port and starboard genoa sheets and at helm reefing lines, as the boat is delivered from the factory without these important safety features. Topping lift is also now managed from the Helm station as opposed to at the mast as per the factory fit. Tack line for the Gennaker is managed from the Helm. Continuous furling line attached to the Karver Furler allows for furling of the Code Zero using the electric winch at the Helm. All halyards and tack lines are fitted with Tylaska snap release shackles for easy release when under load. Gennaker and Spinnaker sheets are managed from the Helm.
