Layout / Configuration
Cockpit / Aft Deck:
The 466 cockpit is wide and comfortable for sailing and entertaining. It features a custom console, plenty of storage and port and starboard aft rail seats. Princess Chen comes with a full set of newly covered cockpit cushions.
The integrated arch provides a great mount for the overhead main sheet traveler and cockpit speakers. Princess Chen comes with a complete new bimini.
The cockpit features a custom steering console with rack and pinion linkage, a single lever engine control, wheel brake, lighted compass, large table leafs, pedestal guard, drink holders and courtesy light. The helmsman seat is hinged for through access to the swim platform.
The two solid hand rails by the companionway hatch are for your safety and security. A manual bilge pump is standard as are the line storage wells.
Master Stateroom:
The forward stateroom features a centerline queen size berth with a custom mattress. You will appreciate the ability to walk around the berth on both sides. This means you will not have to crawl over a partner if you decide to get up in the middle of the night. It also makes it a lot easier to make up the bed in the morning.
Storage drawers under the front face of the bed make it a lot easier to store personal clothing and retrieve them without having to imitate a famous circus act. The generous hanging locker lets you hang up clothing articles you would prefer
Other Staterooms:
Princess Chen is a three cabin yacht with two cabins aft. They are surprisingly large and will easily accommodate two full grown adults. One of the advantages of a larger yacht like the 466 is that it can provide enough hanging locker and storage cabinets for your guests to unpack their knapsacks and hang up their clothes. No need to live out of the bag they brought aboard. Personal gear can also be stowed instead of being tossed on the berth.
The aft starboard stateroom has a full size double berth and immediate access to the day head. the day head is accessible from either the aft starboard stateroom or the maiin salon.
Galley / Dinette:
You would expect a yacht of this size to have a full sized galley and you won't be disappointed. Proper nutrition is a genuine element of the sailing lifestyle. A full sized galley starts with enough counter space for food preparation and serving dishes. It's a whole lot easier for the galley chef to be able to prepare and serve a full meal if they have the room to make it all happen.
An enormous dual-opening refrigerator and freezer are central to the U-shaped galley. A Force 10 stove and oven plus a microwave will make dinners a joy to create. The double island sink works well when cleaning vegetables and has a convenient recessed trash receptacle.
Storage of canned goods, dried foods and your favorite spices and sauces is essential if you are to serve your favorite recipes. There is plenty of storage to accommodate them all. You can put them away instead of having them out on the counter. Neat and tidy counts on a boat too
Salon:
The main salon is bright and airy. It is large enough for two or more people to be able to move about in comfort without always having to excuse yourself to get by. On a quiet day at anchor or just sitting at the dock, the seating is comfortable enough to just relax or read a good book. Opening hatches provide plenty of ventilation.
Her generous use of nautical finishes gives you a sense of warmth and comfort you can share with fellow sailors or occassional friends.
